A simple and artful way of preserving the beauty of garden flowers and foliages is to press them and feature them in a bounty of projects and gifts. In this workshop, you will gain practice pressing flowers from the farm, learn which are the best ones to press, and how to adapt some others that are not conducive to 'flattening' on their own. Then, using a selection of pre-pressed flowers and foliages from the garden and field, you will indulge in the joyful creation of many different projects to learn both technical and creative approaches to make and / or embellish: greeting cards, gift tags, food / preserve labels, bookmarks, candles, notebook covers, and more. Bring scissors, pencil, and a ruler if you have one. No artistic experience required! Light and yummy snacks and refreshments will be provided.

With a diverse background in botanical pursuits in both healing and aesthetic capacities, your teacher, Linda Lee Purvis, is also an energy/meditation/sound practitioner who enjoys facilitating her work in an array of unique venues. You can find more info about Linda at
