So you're ready to head to the farm to cut flowers! And who can blame you - picking your own flowers is truly a magical experience.
We're often asked how the cut your own flowers tickets work, so let's dive in.
First off, our farm is charming and you'll find the flowers throughout the gardens rather than in large fields. It makes for a quieter experience as we limit the number of tickets sold per session.
That being said, you'll need to purchase your ticket on our website. Because we sell the tickets online we can control the number of people here at any one time, making it a better experience for you. You'll find all the current time slots available here: https://countrycutflowers.ca/products/cut-your-own-flowers-tickets
Each ticket includes a one litre mason jar you'll fill with flowers that you choose and cut. We supply the jar, and you keep the jar (that way you have your flowers in water for the trip home). There's no limit to the number of flowers you pick, but they must fit in your jar. During peony season, there will be a limit to the number of peonies you can pick but you can fill the rest of the jar with other flowers from the farm.
We understand that not everyone wants to cut a jar of flowers, so a flower picker can bring one non-flower picking guest along for $20. You'll pay this fee when you arrive. And two children 10 & under per adult are free - the flower farm makes for a fun outing for your kids. Most kids are especially respectful of the flowers but please keep an eye on them ;)
Feel free to take a few pictures while you're here, but please no professional photography. The farm is one big photo op with lots of pretty places to take your pictures. If you do want family photos, engagement photos, etc we have photography time slots outside of cut your own flowers sessions where you can bring your professional photographer.
If you'd like to bring a picnic, you're welcome to set up at one of our picnic tables or bistro sets, or bring your own blanket and settle into a shady spot. We ask that you take your litter with you.
We love animals, but please no pets, although service animals are always welcome.
What you'll need to bring:
- Clean scissors or garden trimmers for cutting your flowers. Other than sunflowers you can cut most of our flowers with scissors.
- A hat
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- A bottle of water
Hope to see you here soon!
